Capote Score Tracker — Log Shots & Bids

The Capote Score Tracker is a small browser utility that logs every bid, every trick, and every shot you take during a match. It runs entirely client-side — no account, no install, no analytics. Your match history is stored in your browser’s local storage.

How to use it

  1. Open this page at the start of every match.
  2. Click New Match to create a fresh scoreboard.
  3. Add each player (including yourself) using the Add Player button.
  4. For each round, enter the bid and the actual tricks won for every player.
  5. The tool computes shots per round and cumulative shots automatically.
  6. When the match ends, click Export CSV to download the full history.

What it tracks

  • Bid per round. The call each player made.
  • Tricks won per round. The actual count for each player.
  • Shots taken per round. The engine computes the absolute difference.
  • Cumulative shots. The running total per player.
  • Match winner. The last player standing below capotado.

Why it matters

Most Capote players underestimate how often they bid wrong by one trick. The Score Tracker surfaces that pattern in 3 to 5 matches. Pair it with the Betting Strategy page to find your weakest round position (early-round, mid-match, end-game).

Privacy

  • No account. No email, no password, no Steam login.
  • No analytics. The page does not load any external tracking script.
  • No server. Data lives in your browser’s local storage. Clearing browser data erases the history.
  • No export without consent. CSV export is manual — nothing is sent anywhere until you click the button.

Tips for accurate tracking

  • Log every round, including rounds you lost or sat out.
  • Use the Notes field to record the special cards played.
  • Export your CSV weekly so you have a backup even if you clear browser data.

Common workflows

Find your weakest bid range

  1. Play 10 matches with the tracker enabled.
  2. Export the CSV.
  3. In a spreadsheet, group rows by bid value (0, 1, 2, 3).
  4. Compare average shots per bid. The highest average is your weakest range.

Track end-game performance

  1. Filter the CSV to the last 3 rounds of each match.
  2. Compute your end-game capotado rate.
  3. Compare to mid-match and early-match rates.
  4. If your end-game rate is much higher, focus your Betting Strategy practice on late-match bids.

Compare modes

  1. Tag each match with the mode you played (Capote, Betejack).
  2. Compare average shots per mode.
  3. Most players do better in one mode than the other — this surfaces which mode to specialize in.

Limitations

  • The tracker does not auto-detect in-game events. You must enter every bid and every trick count manually.
  • Browser storage is limited to ~5 MB. After ~50 matches you may need to export and clear history.
  • The tracker is offline-friendly. It does not require a network connection once the page is loaded.

Track across devices

The tracker uses browser local storage. To sync across devices, export the CSV from one device and import it into another. We deliberately avoid cloud sync to keep your match data private.

Combine with other tools

Pair the tracker with the Betting Strategy page to find your weakest bid range. After ten matches, you will see a clear pattern in where you go capotado most often. Adjust your bids in those rounds and your win rate will climb within another ten matches.
