Why early-access updates matter
Capote entered Early Access on October 23, 2025 and shipped version 1.0 on August 20, 2026. Hotfixes can still change rule text. Reading the patch notes before trusting older guides is the difference between winning a match and going capotado because a reverse card now triggers before the high card.
Update cadence
The developer pushes patches every 2 to 4 weeks. Major content drops (like King of the Bar in late 2025) ship quarterly. Hotfixes for crashes ship within 24 hours of detection. The Version History lists every patch since launch.
Which sources we trust
Official sources: Steam Community Hub, developer Discord announcements, developer Instagram, developer YouTube. We do not trust third-party patch trackers or fan wikis for breaking news; we always cross-check with the developer before adding an entry here.
Subscribing to updates
Wishlisting Capote on Steam is the most reliable way to get announcements. Steam sends an email every time the developer posts news. Discord is the fastest channel if you want to discuss changes with other players in real time.
